The sky color of Chicago
"I remember when I first came to Chicago three years ago, one of my favorite parts of Chicago was the change of sky color every day. Because, in my childhood memory, the sky I saw every day at that time was only two colors, gray and white. It was even hard to see a blue sky. After I came to Chicago, I found that the sky was purple, pink and orange.
I documented the color change of the sky in Chicago in the past two months. Actually, I was also inspired by a series of pictures named " Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer (Lake Michigan)" by Catherine Opie. Her work shows the four seasons of Lake Michigan.
At first I chose some different places to take pictures of the sky, then I found that it was better to photograph the sky in a higher place than on the ground. Finally, I decided to photograph the sky in a tall building, and I chose a fixed-camera position to take the picture. I created a Twitter account and named it " The sky color of Chicago."
