Far Awaaaaay

"The final project is a continuing work of my mid-term. Instead of having a current conversation with my parents while they are on the phone, this time I chose to approach people around me and also some strangers in public space. The conversation also focuses more on "phone usage" and I also applied interview techniques while asking strangers questions: therefore the conversation turned out to be more 'open' and 'customized'.

I named the album "Far Awaaaaay" because that's how I felt about people's socializing phenomenon these days. Conversation always needs to involve digital contents to interest each other, and even strangers tend to be more engaged in the conversation when social media is brought up.

It was also interesting when one of the conversations involved the relationship between moving-image work and photographs; I thought it was what my photo album aimed to portray...".
